BACKSTORY

Totoji was raised by a wealthy merchant and scholar couple in the heart of Ul’dah’s wealthiest districts. Unlike his adopted brother, the young Tasaji had little interest in his father’s dealings with the Thaumaturge guild, and refused any proprietorship to his mother’s hospitality business to her dismay.Totoji would later join the Brass Blades for twenty years of loyal service and become enthusiastic in revitalizing the dying art of the Sultansworn paladins of Ul. For years following his loyal service to the Sultana, Totoji took pride in training worthy Brass Blades in the antiquated art. But in studying the code of the Sultansworn, Totoji began to see the corruption in some of the city’s Brass Blade units by the hands of competing merchants. This revelation would lead to his distance from in-city service and instead, joining his brother overseas to Shirogane to serve in a civilian guard capacity for his family’s business while remaining loyal to the interests of the Sultana.Currently, Totoji no longer operates as a brass blade in official capacity in Thanalan (though he retains his titles honorably), instead embracing the code of the Sultansworn in his abroad situation, and furthering his interest in the study of martial combat styles.

HOOKS

■ The White Lotus Inn is operated by the Tasaji Family. While he let the sole proprietorship go to his brother, Felore, Totoji has quite a few opinions about the business’s direction.■ While Totoji shared comradery with the Brass Blades, he’s seen the ugly side of the great merchant city. He is passionate about fair justice, values hard work, and uses his privilege to help the less fortunate when he can. Totoji is adamantly anti-imperial, and dislikes the state of monetary corruption in Ul’dah.■ Totoji is quick to temper sometimes, especially if someone insults his height or ability to fight. While it may come off aggressive, Totoji truly has a heart of gold. He will just as tenaciously protect those who matter to him.■ Challenge Totoji to a competition of martial prowess and he will happily accept a worthy opponent.■ He will never ever admit it but Totoji absolutely loves flowers. Pink is truly his favorite color, but he will insist it is black and gold, the pride of his city.■ Totoji has an infinite interest in weapons. He's the kind of person to keep a gun under his bed and a sword at his toilet. He has an ever growing armory and is happy to talk about it.

■ I prefer in-game rp but can do discord in special cases. You can reach out on DnD status, I just won't respond until I can.
■ I enjoy writing scenes that are anecdotal, human, meaningful and have an impact on my character and those I write with.
■ Separation of IC and OOC is very important to me. I expect my RP partners to understand IC consequences and that my character will not act untrue to his nature for a specific outcome in a scene.
■ That said: I'm big on OOC communication. We're humans behind the screen and you're not destroying my immersion by checking in if you're unsure of something.
■ Please do not assault my character without OOC communication first.
■ RP time is my hobby time and my goal is for it to be fun for everyone involved.
■ I am a slow typer, especially in large events when there's a lot of emote scroll. Your patience is most appreciated! Feel free to send me a /tell if you think your emote was missed.
■ My IRL is very busy so I need to plan and schedule RP scenes in advance. I can generally swing 2-3 hours max for a scene. Reach out anytime if you have an idea.
■ I'm not comfortable writing with players or characters under the age of 21 due to the emotional maturity needed for the themes I prefer to write.
